The ASUS Vivobook 16 is significantly less expensive, making it a more budget-friendly choice with ample storage. Its lighter weight and smaller size contribute to better portability. It's well-suited for general tasks and can handle engineering applications decently. However, the Gigabyte Aorus 17G, while more expensive, offers superior performance for 3D rendering, machine learning, and games with its high-end graphics card, and it has a higher refresh rate display. The ASUS is recommended for general use and portability, while the Gigabyte excels in heavy-duty tasks like gaming and professional work at the expense of weight and cost. Give Feedback

How the ASUS Vivobook 16 and the Gigabyte Aorus 17G compare to other laptops
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, Yannick Khong | May 2023
"The ASUS Vivobook 16 M1605 (2023) is a budget Windows laptop. It's available with various AMD Ryzen 5000 and 7000 U-series CPUs and integrated graphics. You can only get 8GB of RAM; however, there's an empty SO-DIMM slot if you want to upgrade it. It has an FHD+ (1920 x 1200) 16:10 IPS display, a full-size keyboard with a Numpad, a 720p webcam, and Wi-Fi 6E wireless connectivity. Ports include three USB-As, one USB-C, an HDMI, and a headphone jack. The USB-C supports charging but no video output."
"The Aorus 17G isn't among the top RTX 3080 laptops due to its relatively low TGP of 105 watts. The device's gaming performance is average for an RTX 3080. For maximum performance, competitors like the Lenovo Legion 7 or the Alienware m17 R4 are recommended With the Aorus 17G, Gigabyte delivers a well-rounded gaming laptop. However, the device generates a high noise level. Throttling is not an issue. The CPU and GPU can develop their performance uniformly. Nevertheless, the device produces a lot of noise under load - more than many competitors."
