The ASUS Vivobook 16, being generally less expensive, offers good screen quality, a comfortable keyboard, and is suitable for daily use and moderately demanding tasks with its AMD Ryzen 7 processor and Vega 8 graphics. It ought to be lightweight and have a decent battery life, making it quite portable. However, if you're looking for a laptop that can handle intensive gaming, 3D rendering, or machine learning workloads, the Eluktronics Mech-15 G3R, while more expensive, is the better choice. It boasts a stronger processor, a high-performance Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti GPU, faster screen refresh rates, and a higher resolution display, but it is heavier and might have shorter battery life, making it less portable than the Vivobook 16. The Eluktronics Mech-15 G3R has a better screen than the ASUS Vivobook 16 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
Considering the ASUS Vivobook 16, it has a resolution and panel type that provide adequate clarity and color representation for everyday tasks, but it may lack the wide color gamut and brightness preferred for detailed engineering and design work. For the Eluktronics Mech-15 G3R, the display offers a higher resolution and superior color accuracy, with brightness levels that benefit professional design and enhance the overall viewing experience, making it a solid choice for general use and technical applications. However, for gaming and 3D work, both laptops fall short as they do not offer the high refresh rates required for the smooth visuals demanded by these use cases, leading to a less optimal experience.

"The ASUS Vivobook 16 M1605 (2023) is a budget Windows laptop. It's available with various AMD Ryzen 5000 and 7000 U-series CPUs and integrated graphics. You can only get 8GB of RAM; however, there's an empty SO-DIMM slot if you want to upgrade it. It has an FHD+ (1920 x 1200) 16:10 IPS display, a full-size keyboard with a Numpad, a 720p webcam, and Wi-Fi 6E wireless connectivity. Ports include three USB-As, one USB-C, an HDMI, and a headphone jack. The USB-C supports charging but no video output."
"Everything considered, the XMG Neo 15 (Mech-15 G3R) with RTX 3070 Ti is a great gaming performer. The combination of the Ti graphics card with the new Intel 12th gen CPU is enough to go toe-to-toe, and even slightly pull ahead of the RTX 3080 in most titles, though on games with Ray-Tracing enabled, particularly with graphics set to the maximum and on higher resolutions, the additional VRAM of the RTX 3080 makes a big impact, and the 8GB RTX 3070 Ti machine simply can’t compete, even with the more powerful processor."
