The ASUS Vivobook 16 is a more affordable and slightly lighter option with good performance for general tasks, but it is less suited to intensive gaming or professional creative work due to its less powerful graphics. The ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo 15, on the other hand, is more expensive, a bit heavier, and equipped with more powerful hardware suitable for rigorous applications like 3D rendering and engineering software; it also offers a higher-quality display and better speakers. Consider the Vivobook 16 for cost-effective, daily computing needs, or the ZenBook Pro Duo 15 if needing top-tier performance, especially for creative or engineering tasks, is a priority. The ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo 15 is very good for general use, while the ASUS Vivobook 16 is good.
The ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo 15 outshines the Vivobook 16 in CPU and RAM, which are very important for general use, boasting a more powerful processor and double the memory, as well as a superior OLED screen that provides higher resolution and touchscreen capabilities. While both have decent battery life and portability, the ZenBook also offers better speakers and keyboard quality, factors that are somewhat important, making it a better fit for those who prioritize high performance and screen quality over cost.

The ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo 15 is good for gaming and AI, while the ASUS Vivobook 16 is only fair.
The ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo 15 offers superior gaming and 3D performance due to its high-end Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti graphics card, which supports hardware ray tracing and DLSS, enhancing visual effects and frame rates in games. In contrast, the ASUS Vivobook 16 only comes with an integrated AMD Ryzen Vega 8 GPU, less suited for demanding gaming and 3D tasks, and lacks dedicated features like DLSS or hardware ray tracing.

The ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo 15 is excellent for engineering and design, while the ASUS Vivobook 16 is good.
The ASUS Vivobook 16 is suited for engineering and design due to its ample RAM and solid CPU, but its GPU and screen resolution are less suited for high-end graphics work compared to the ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo 15, which excels with its superior CPU, double the RAM, high-end GPU, and a sharper, more color-accurate OLED touchscreen. While both offer significant storage and reasonable portability, the ZenBook Pro Duo 15's added weight may be a tradeoff for its enhanced performance and screen quality.

The ASUS Zenbook Pro Duo 15 has a better screen than the ASUS Vivobook 16 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The ASUS Vivobook 16, with its standard panel type, resolution, and brightness, provides suitable visual clarity and color for daily tasks and engineering applications but lacks the high refresh rate that 3D applications and games often require for smooth visuals. The ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo 15, on the other hand, boasts superior screen features with higher resolution and brightness, and better color gamuts, enhancing the precision and color fidelity critical for professional engineering and design work. However, both models fall short for gaming and 3D, as their refresh rates aren't high enough to deliver the seamless motion detail that these uses demand.

Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, Yannick Khong | May 2023
"The ASUS Vivobook 16 M1605 (2023) is a budget Windows laptop. It's available with various AMD Ryzen 5000 and 7000 U-series CPUs and integrated graphics. You can only get 8GB of RAM; however, there's an empty SO-DIMM slot if you want to upgrade it. It has an FHD+ (1920 x 1200) 16:10 IPS display, a full-size keyboard with a Numpad, a 720p webcam, and Wi-Fi 6E wireless connectivity. Ports include three USB-As, one USB-C, an HDMI, and a headphone jack. The USB-C supports charging but no video output."
"Benchmarks aside, the Asus ZenBook Pro Duo is hard to compare with other PCs. Its closest competition may be a multi-monitor desktop, or a laptop with an attached travel monitor. The Pro Duo is more portable and versatile than either of those options, especially with the software tools Asus has thrown on top. For a certain niche of artists, media creators, and gamers, all that might add up to something special, even if it’s unattainable for the rest of us."
