If you require superior performance for tasks like 3D modeling, machine learning, or gaming, and are willing to spend more, the ASUS Vivobook 16 is an excellent choice, although it is less portable due to its size and weight. On the other hand, if budget and portability are your main concerns and your usage will focus on general tasks like web browsing, document editing, or light media consumption, the ASUS Vivobook Go 12 is a more suitable option due to its compact size and lighter weight, which makes it easier to carry around but with performance that might not suit demanding software. The ASUS Vivobook 16 is good for general use, while the ASUS Vivobook Go 12 is poor.
The ASUS Vivobook 16 is better suited for general use with its more powerful AMD processor, ample RAM for multi-tasking, and a higher quality IPS display that offers better screen resolution and brightness. In contrast, the ASUS Vivobook Go 12, with its basic Intel Celeron processor and lower RAM, is less capable for demanding tasks, and its TN display provides inferior color and viewing angles, which, despite its excellent portability and longer battery life, makes it less ideal for general use.

The ASUS Vivobook 16 has a better screen than the ASUS Vivobook Go 12 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The ASUS Vivobook 16 offers a balance suitable for general tasks with its adequate resolution and brightness, but for engineering and design, the limited color range means it's not ideal for precise color work. The Vivobook Go 12's lower screen quality affects everyday activities due to its subpar resolution and brightness, making it less enjoyable for viewing content or multitasking. Both struggle with gaming and 3D applications as their screens don't offer the high refresh rates needed for smooth visuals, plus the Vivobook Go 12 further falls short with its even lower resolution and lesser panel quality.
