The ASUS Vivobook 15X is better suited for those on a budget or who prioritize portability and longer battery life. It's adequate for general use and has decent performance for casual gaming or basic engineering tasks. In contrast, the MSI Stealth GS77 is ideal for performance-driven users who can afford a premium-priced laptop. It offers a more robust processor and graphics card, more memory, and storage, making it well-suited for intensive gaming, 3D rendering, machine learning, and demanding engineering applications, at the cost of higher weight and shorter battery life. Both options have backlit keyboards, but only the Stealth GS77 features hardware ray tracing and DLSS, enhancing gaming and creative work. Give Feedback

The MSI Stealth GS77 is very good for general use, while the ASUS Vivobook 15X is good.
The ASUS Vivobook 15X is designed for lighter use with less demanding specs like a mid-range CPU, less RAM, and a lower resolution screen, making it more portable and offering longer battery life, which is suitable for everyday tasks. In contrast, the MSI Stealth GS77 boasts a high-end CPU, much more RAM, and a superior screen quality, catering to more intensive applications but compromising on portability due to its larger size and shorter battery life, making it ideal for power users who prioritize performance.

The MSI Stealth GS77 is good for gaming and AI, while the ASUS Vivobook 15X is only fair.
The MSI Stealth GS77 offers a very good gaming and 3D experience with a high-end Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti graphics card and a screen refresh rate of 240Hz, which greatly surpasses the ASUS Vivobook 15X's more modest AMD Ryzen 5 7530U Vega 7 GPU and a 60Hz refresh rate. Additionally, the MSI has a higher resolution display for better screen quality, which, when combined with a more powerful CPU, justifies its higher suitability for demanding gaming and 3D tasks compared to the ASUS model.

The MSI Stealth GS77 has a better screen than the ASUS Vivobook 15X for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
For general use, the ASUS Vivobook 15X provides a decent viewing experience with adequate resolution and brightness for everyday tasks, but it may falter in more color-critical applications compared to the MSI Stealth GS77, which boasts a higher quality display with greater brightness and sharper resolution, enhancing readability and media consumption. In engineering and design fields, accurate color reproduction is critical; the MSI Stealth GS77 outshines the Vivobook 15X with superior color gamut coverage, offering richer and more precise colors for professional work. However, for gaming and 3D applications, despite their satisfactory resolution and panel types, both laptops fall short due to lower refresh rates, leading to less fluid motion and responsiveness during fast-paced scenes.

"All in all, my day on the Vivobook had its ups and downs. It is a really pretty and well-built device, and it had all of the functionality I needed to get me through my browser-based workload. But the speakers weren’t my favorite, and the battery life was just too short."
"The MSI Stealth GS77 is better than the GS76... mostly. The GS77 is a few steps forward and a few steps back from the GS76. Improvements are numerous including the stronger and more rigid skeleton, higher resolution webcam, larger clickpad, easier serviceability, relatively similar battery runtimes, newer display options, and higher performance at about the same TDP and TGP levels as before. CPU performance is better than expected even when compared to other laptops with Core i7 or Core i9 processors. The newer model feels more substantial than the outgoing one for higher quality impressions as well."
