Choose the ASUS Vivobook 15X if affordability and lighter weight are important, as it's less expensive and more portable, making it suitable for general use and basic tasks. The Lenovo Legion 5, on the other hand, offers superior performance for activities such as 3D work, machine learning, gaming, and engineering due to its more powerful processor and dedicated graphics card, but it's heavier and typically costs more. Battery life is better with the Legion, so if staying unplugged matters, that may tip the scales. Consider the Vivobook for everyday tasks and mobility, or the Legion for demanding applications and longer battery use. Give Feedback

The Lenovo Legion 5 15" is very good for engineering and design, while the ASUS Vivobook 15X is only fair.
The Lenovo Legion 5 is ideal for engineering and design use as it packs an Nvidia RTX 4060 GPU, a higher resolution display, and double the RAM of the ASUS Vivobook 15X, which makes it better suited for intensive tasks that require graphic and computational performance. However, the ASUS Vivobook 15X is lighter and thus more portable, but it falls short in performance due to its integrated AMD GPU and less RAM, which may limit its capability to handle demanding engineering software.

How the ASUS Vivobook 15X and the Lenovo Legion 5 15" compare to other laptops
"All in all, my day on the Vivobook had its ups and downs. It is a really pretty and well-built device, and it had all of the functionality I needed to get me through my browser-based workload. But the speakers weren’t my favorite, and the battery life was just too short."
"The Lenovo Legion 5 15 is an affordable gaming laptop with a lot of power. The new AMD processor Ryzen 7 5800H offers plenty of performance and it is also very efficient. The combination with the fast 130W version of the GeForce RTX 3060 ensures high gaming performance. We also like the fast 165 Hz display with the 1080p resolution. The automatic graphics switching causes some problems with stutters, which are very annoying. If you do not need long battery runtimes, you should definitely deactivate the hybrid graphics mode in Lenovo's Vantage app. The Legion 5 15 is never silent."
