The ASUS Vivobook 15X is generally less expensive and offers good quality for general use such as web browsing, office work, and media consumption, alongside a decent battery life and portability. However, it has less powerful graphics and lower performance in tasks like 3D rendering or engineering applications compared to the Gigabyte A5. The Gigabyte A5, even though slightly more expensive, comes with a more powerful CPU and GPU that excel in gaming, 3D modeling, and machine learning tasks, but it is heavier and has a lower battery life, making it less portable. The A5 also has better overall build quality, speaker performance, and a backlit keyboard with multiple colors. The decision between these laptops should be based on whether you prioritize cost and portability or require higher performance for intensive tasks and gaming. Give Feedback

The Gigabyte A5 is good for gaming and AI, while the ASUS Vivobook 15X is only fair.
The ASUS Vivobook 15X is fair for gaming and 3D because it comes with an integrated AMD GPU and a screen refresh rate of 60Hz, which is adequate but not ideal for fast-paced gaming or complex 3D rendering. In contrast, the Gigabyte A5 offers a superior gaming and 3D experience with its dedicated Nvidia RTX 3060 GPU and a higher screen refresh rate of 144Hz, which allows for smoother visuals and more detailed graphics.

The Gigabyte A5 is good for engineering and design, while the ASUS Vivobook 15X is only fair.
The Gigabyte A5 stands out for engineering and design primarily due to its more powerful Nvidia graphics card and double the RAM, which enhance performance for graphical and memory-intensive tasks, compared to the ASUS Vivobook 15X's integrated graphics and less RAM. While both have decent screens and CPUs for the tasks, the extra GPU power and RAM in the Gigabyte provide a smoother experience for demanding software typical in engineering, albeit at the cost of being less portable and noisier under load.

The Gigabyte A5 has a better screen than the ASUS Vivobook 15X for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, and content creation.
The ASUS Vivobook 15X's screen is adequate for basic tasks with its resolution and brightness, which are crucial for everyday activities, but the color range isn't wide enough for professional engineering and design work. The Gigabyte A5 offers sharper visuals and brighter colors, fitting for both general use and detail-oriented tasks in engineering and design due to better color accuracy. However, both fall short for gaming and 3D applications because they lack high refresh rates, which are essential for smooth motion and responsiveness in these scenarios.

How the ASUS Vivobook 15X and the Gigabyte A5 compare to other laptops
"All in all, my day on the Vivobook had its ups and downs. It is a really pretty and well-built device, and it had all of the functionality I needed to get me through my browser-based workload. But the speakers weren’t my favorite, and the battery life was just too short."
"Ignoring price, the Gigabyte A5 has a hard time against the similarly fast competition. Besides the loud noise in 3D mode (performance mode), the high temperature development of the components should be mentioned on the downside. Despite the relatively thick case, the laptop gets very warm and loud under load, which does not exactly speak for the cooling system. The plastic surfaces look rather cheap and also tend to rattle. In most other disciplines - be it the input devices, the screen, the connectivity or the battery runtime - the Gigabyte laptop does not stand out from the crowd, neither positively nor negatively. However, those who primarily pay attention to the price-performance ratio will get a pretty good offer with the Gigabyte A5."
