The ASUS Vivobook 15 is a solid choice for everyday tasks and offers excellent value for its budget-friendly price. It's equipped with a capable Intel i3 processor and integrated UHD graphics, which will handle general use well, though it may struggle with more demanding tasks like gaming or intensive engineering applications. Its 15.6-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 is suitable for clear visuals, and the laptop's larger size makes it less portable but more comfortable for extended typing sessions.
On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy Book4 Edge 14 is a more premium option with a higher price tag that reflects its advanced features. The Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite processor and Adreno 750 graphics provide superior performance, especially for tasks that benefit from multi-core processing and strong GPU capabilities. The 14-inch OLED display with a higher resolution of 2880 x 1800 and a 120Hz refresh rate offers vibrant colors and smooth visuals, making it ideal for media consumption and creative work. Its compact and lightweight design enhances portability, and the inclusion of a touchscreen and 2-in-1 functionality adds versatility for those who value a convertible form factor.
Consider the ASUS if you prioritize cost savings and primarily use your laptop for basic tasks like web browsing, word processing, and media streaming. Opt for the Samsung if you're looking for a more powerful, portable device with a superior display and the flexibility to adapt to different use cases, including light gaming and creative workloads. "The Asus VivoBook 15 is a quiet office notebook with a strong screen. However, the VivoBook 15 still has room for improvement. Office and internet applications as well as simple games do not pose any major challenges for the VivoBook - this is ensured by the built-in combination of Ryzen 7 5700U APU and 16 GB of RAM. Heat and noise emissions are acceptable. But, the laptop has weaknesses that should not be present at this level: lack of keyboard lighting, a slow memory card reader, no fast USB-C port (USB 3.2 Gen 2 or Thunderbolt 4) with Power Delivery and DisplayPort. Battery runtimes can only be described as average."
