The Apple MacBook Pro 16 (2023) comes at a high-end price and offers a premium experience suitable for a range of professional tasks. With its large storage capacity and substantial memory, it can handle demanding software for engineering, 3D, and machine learning efficiently. The main processor and integrated graphics are designed to support resource-intensive applications with ease. The laptop boasts a Mini LED display with high resolution, making for excellent visual clarity, vibrant colors, and good contrast, beneficial for creative professionals who require color accuracy. Despite its advanced features, the MacBook Pro 16 (2023) is relatively portable for its size, yet heavier than smaller and more compact models, which might affect its appeal to those needing ultra-portability. It is also equipped with a high battery capacity, which translates to long hours of use between charges, useful for on-the-go users. The machine doesn't have a gaming laptop appearance and is not geared towards intensive gaming; however, its build quality, cooling system, and overall performance suit a broad spectrum of general and specialized tasks outside of gaming. High-quality input devices include a backlit keyboard and a precise touchpad, while security features include a fingerprint reader. The port selection is considerable, with multiple USB-C and Thunderbolt ports, but lacks an Ethernet port—something to consider for those requiring wired network connections. Give Feedback

Andreas Osthoff | February 2023
"The Apple MacBook Pro 16 2023: M2 Max challenges GeForce RTX 3080 Ti. The new MacBook Pro 16 2023 with the M2 Max SoC is the most powerful laptop Apple has on sale right now. While we do not get the expected performance and efficiency improvements from completely new 3 nm chips, which we expected ahead of the launch, the 2023 model is still a solid update. The CPU of the M2 Max can be up to 20 % faster than the old model and we also see an advantage of 25-30 % for the GPU with 38 cores. However, both components also consume more power, so the efficiency did not change that much under maximum load."
