The MSI Raider GE76 is very good for gaming and AI, while the Acer Swift 14 is only fair.
The MSI Raider GE76 is more suited for intense gaming and 3D tasks largely due to its superior Nvidia RTX 3080 Ti GPU and high screen refresh rate, providing smooth visuals and better handling of graphically demanding applications, compared to the Acer Swift 14's Intel Iris Xe and standard refresh rate. While the Acer Swift 14 offers a capable CPU and quality screen, it doesn't match the Raider's higher-end CPU and GPU configuration, which significantly enhance gameplay experience and 3D performance.

The MSI Raider GE76 is excellent for engineering and design, while the Acer Swift 14 is good.
The Acer Swift 14 is suitable for engineering and design due to its robust Intel i7 CPU and integrated graphics, sufficient for most tasks with an excellent screen; however, the MSI Raider GE76 outperforms it with a higher-end CPU, double the RAM, and a superior dedicated Nvidia GPU, which excel in demanding engineering applications, though it trades off for less portability due to its significant weight and larger size.

The MSI Raider GE76 has a better screen than the Acer Swift 14 for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
The Acer Swift 14 likely offers a display with adequate resolution and brightness suited for everyday tasks and clarity for fine details in engineering applications, but its lower refresh rate doesn't meet the demands of fast-paced gaming. The MSI Raider GE76 provides a high-resolution and bright display, enhancing both general use and design tasks, while also offering wide color coverage essential for engineering precision, though still lacking a high refresh rate for smooth 3D gaming experiences. Given these considerations, users focused on productivity and professional work will find both screens sufficient, whereas gamers should look for alternatives prioritizing refresh rate.

How the Acer Swift 14 and the MSI Raider GE76 compare to other laptops
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, John Peroramas | April 2023
"The Acer Swift 14 is good for school use. Its compact design makes it easy to carry around, and its battery lasts easily through a typical school day. You can configure the laptop with an FHD+ or QHD+ display; both look sharp and get bright enough to combat glare. The keyboard feels tactile but can be a little tiring to type on over an extended period, and while the touchpad is small, it's responsive to all movements and gestures. Its Intel 13th Gen. CPU can handle nearly every type of workload; however, its integrated graphics perform poorly, so it isn't ideal for students in technical fields like 3D graphics."
"The MSI Raider GE76: with Alder Lake and RTX 3080 Ti to gaming heaven. Yes, MSI could improve some aspects (like the quality of the webcam), but the manufacturer offers a very convincing and balanced overall package. The biggest advantage is definitely the immense performance potential. The combination of Core i9-12900HK, GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, 32 GB DDR5 RAM and two NVMe SSDs offers a lot of performance for the next couple of years and plenty of power for 3D applications. Most titles would run smoothly on an external 4K screen no matter the quality preset. We came away impressed with the integrated 360 Hz panel's fast response times and good color accuracy."
