The Acer Nitro 5 15 is priced in the lower midrange and aims to balance cost with gaming capabilities. Equipped with an Intel i5 processor and Nvidia RTX 3050 graphics, it will handle general use and some gaming or engineering tasks well but might struggle with more intensive 3D or machine learning applications. It boasts a 15.6-inch IPS display which offers good color and visuals at Full HD, aided by a high refresh rate, favorable for gaming. However, it’s on the heavier side which affects portability. The keyboard quality is rated very good, contributing to a comfortable typing experience. Give Feedback

Keyboard Quality:
4.4
The Keyboard Quality score is based on the PerfectRec experts’ assessment of tactile feedback, typing comfort, keyboard reliability and typing noise.
General Use:
4.2
The Acer Nitro 5 15 is equipped with a capable main processor and sufficient RAM, which make it well-suited for general computing tasks, while its IPS screen delivers decent visual quality. However, its average battery life and fair portability score suggest that it may not be the best choice for extended use away from a power source or for those who frequently travel with their laptop.
Engineering & Design:
4.2
PerfectRec’s Engineering and Design Score takes into account the many different features of the laptop that make it more or less suitable for graphic design, CAD and 3D work. In addition to a strong emphasis on overall performance, this score also places very high importance on screen quality. Heat management, storage, keyboard and speaker quality are also incorporated, with fan noise rounding out this score.

NotebookCheck

Sascha Mölck | June 2022
"The Acer Nitro 5 is a fast QHD gaming notebook. The Nitro 5 is a well-balanced gaming laptop for just under US$ 2400. A Core i7-12700H CPU and a GeForce RTX 3070 Ti Laptop GPU enable QHD gaming at high to maximum settings, accompanied by fast PCIe-4-SSD (1 TB) and 16 GB of RAM. Acer delivers a solid QHD gaming notebook with the Nitro 5 AN515-58. However, the laptop is not completely free of shortcomings. The CPU and GPU can work at consistently high clock rates. The laptop heats up noticeably under load, but not excessively. Noise development is on the usual class level. Once again, however, Acer needs to improve the fan control."
