The Acer Aspire 5 15 is a budget-friendly laptop with an Intel i3 processor and Intel UHD graphics, designed for basic tasks like web browsing, office applications, and streaming media. With its 15.6-inch IPS display, you'll get a decent screen size for productivity and entertainment, but it lacks touch capabilities. The device is relatively thin and light, making it fairly portable, but remember that higher performance or gaming may require a more powerful device. It includes a number of useful ports, including USB-C, though it doesn't support Thunderbolt or USB4. It comes with Windows 11, a backlit keyboard, and additional slots for RAM and storage upgrades. If your needs are more demanding, such as for 3D modeling, machine learning, or engineering software, you may want to consider a laptop with a stronger CPU and GPU. The Aspire 5 is suitable for general use cases and those who need a number pad included. Give Feedback

Engineering & Design:
3.0
The Acer Aspire 5 15's performance is moderate for engineering and design use due to its basic Intel i3 processor and integrated Intel UHD graphics, which are sufficient for basic tasks but not ideal for demanding software often used in these fields.

NotebookCheck

Sascha Mölck | November 2022
"The Acer Aspire 5 15 is a good value office laptop with reasonable battery life. The combination of slim exterior, relatively low weight (approx. 1.7 kg) and 8 hour real-life battery runtime makes the Acer Aspire a truly mobile laptop. The modest Tiger Lake processor supports this area and simultaneously ensures an affordable price point. The Aspire produces little noise and stays cool. The screen (FHD, IPS) might not win any prizes but is entirely appropriate for the price."
