The Acer Aspire 3 15 has a better screen than the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15" for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
When considering the Acer Aspire 3 15, the screen's adequate resolution and brightness make for a satisfactory experience during general tasks, but for engineering and design, the limited color range can hinder precise color work. The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15", with lower screen quality across the board, offers a less vibrant display for daily use and struggles with color accuracy critical for professional design applications. Neither is ideal for gaming or 3D work, as their screens lack the high refresh rates that ensure smooth motion, though the Acer's better overall screen may provide a slightly more enjoyable visual experience.

The Acer Aspire 3 15 and Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15" are both only fair for general use.
The Acer Aspire 3 15 offers a sharper, higher resolution IPS screen and a processor that's adequately suited for general tasks, making it a reasonable choice if screen quality is a priority; however, it's heavier and slightly thicker than the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15", which might make it less appealing if portability is a key concern, although the Acer has a somewhat longer battery life. The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15" offers more storage space and a touchscreen, but falls behind with a lower resolution TN panel which may affect viewing angles and color representation, and has a shorter battery life; it is, however, slightly lighter and could be a more portable option.

How the Acer Aspire 3 15 and the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15" compare to other laptops
Alexander Tozzi, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | March 2023
"The Acer Aspire 3 is okay for school use. It feels reasonably well-built, and it's easy to carry around. The display looks decently sharp and provides plenty of space for multitasking, but it doesn't get bright enough to combat glare. Its Intel Core i3-N305 CPU and integrated graphics can only handle simple tasks, like text processing, web browsing, and video playback, so it isn't ideal for students in more technical fields like 3D graphics. Unfortunately, the battery lasts only around six to seven hours of light use."
"The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 is an enduring office notebook with a powerful Ryzen APU. Lenovo's office all-rounder easily handles office and internet applications as well as modest games - the Ryzen 5 5625U APU and 16 GB of RAM make this possible. The CPU and GPU can work at consistently high clock rates. The emission values are okay, but the noise emissions should be lower under medium to full load. The relatively light notebook (approx. 1.6 kg) achieves practical battery runtimes of about 10 to 11 hours."
