The Soundcore Life Q20 headphones are suitable if you prioritize extended battery life and active noise cancellation at a lower midrange price, especially for air travel or commuting, due to their excellent noise isolation. They are over-ear, closed-back headphones offering wireless and wired connectivity, with a comfortable fit and the ability to fold for better portability. However, they are not ideal for calls, meetings, gaming, or watching TV due to poor performance in those aspects, and they lack features like an app equalizer, custom controls, and optimization for exercise, dust, or water resistance. They are equipped with a dynamic driver, support the AAC codec for better sound with Apple devices, and have very good build quality. Give Feedback

Ratings by Category

Battery Life:
5.0
The Battery Life rating is based on hours of typical, actual usage.
Air Travel:
4.8
This score evaluates the product for use on airplanes and other similar kinds of travel. It takes into account noise reduction and portability, including case shape, case size, and weight. It also incorporates the battery life of the product, long-haul comfort, noise reduction (both active and passive), and sound quality. We generally consider wireless products to be more suitable for air travel.
Music:
4.0
The Soundcore Life Q20 headphones offer a closed enclosure that provides passive noise isolation for an undistracted listening experience, and their soundstage and imaging scores indicate a reasonably accurate and immersive sound reproduction which is desirable for enjoying music. However, they do not support lossless codecs wirelessly, which may affect those seeking the highest audio fidelity in a wireless setup.

Sound Guys

Christian Thomas | January 2022
"As far as headphones that cost under $100 go, the Anker Soundcore Life Q20 is a really solid option. Like any good tool, it does the job well without much guff, and it’s affordable to boot. Sure: it’s not going toe to toe with any of the higher-end models of ANC headphones out there—but the headphones do well enough for commuters that it’s a good stand-in if you were never planning on spending a bunch of money anyway."
