The AKG K361 headphones are over-ear, closed-back designed for a midrange price, offering wired connectivity with a 1.2-meter cable and detachable cable option. Their overall sound quality is very good, with a good score for soundstage and imaging, and they are comfortable to wear. However, they have poor microphone quality, which might not be ideal for calls and meetings. They are notable for their build quality but do not have built-in controls, active noise cancelling, or wireless capabilities. The K361s are foldable, making them somewhat portable, but noise isolation is only rated as fair. They are not sweatproof or dustproof certified, which might not make them the best option for exercise but their durability is highly rated. They do not offer app integration for audio control customization and are not optimized specifically for Android or Apple devices. Give Feedback

TV & Video:
4.3
The AKG K361 headphones are well-suited for watching TV and videos because they are wired, which eliminates the latency issues wireless headphones might have, ensuring the audio is in sync with the visuals. Additionally, they provide very good overall sound quality, enhancing the clarity and detail in dialogue and soundtracks, and have a good soundstage for more immersive sound placement.
Music:
4.2
The AKG K361 headphones provide a closed-back design that offers good noise isolation, ideal for listening to music in various environments without being disturbed by outside noise. They're known for delivering detailed and accurate sound quality, which enhances the listening experience with clearer soundstage and imaging, though they lack virtual surround features and are wired, offering a reliable, high-fidelity connection without depending on wireless codecs.
Air Travel:
4.1
This score evaluates the product for use on airplanes and other similar kinds of travel. It takes into account noise reduction and portability, including case shape, case size, and weight. It also incorporates the battery life of the product, long-haul comfort, noise reduction (both active and passive), and sound quality. We generally consider wireless products to be more suitable for air travel.
Gaming:
3.4
The AKG K361 headphones are wired, which eliminates the latency issues common with wireless options, making them suitable for gaming. However, they have a poor microphone quality, which can be a drawback for multiplayer gaming where communication with teammates is crucial.

Alex Rowe | November 2019
"The K361 retains much of what makes the K371 such a winner, though it has a leaner sound, and the build changes made to trim the price down are immediately apparent. Still, it’s another excellent offering from AKG, and other companies in this fight should either be very worried or quickly designing updates to their old models."
